I cut my teeth assisting some of the greats — Steve Pyke, Sven Arnstein, and Mark Harrison — learning the craft from the ground up. Starting as the second assistant on shoots, my job might be to make tea for Helen Mirren, sweep the cove and stand in for a Polaroid on Centre Court.

My big break came on an unforgettable Comic Relief assignment in Mozambique, photographing Graham Norton delivering cattle to a village devastated by floods.. Those images opened a new chapter in my life — they landed me the role of staff photographer at OK! Magazine.

For 12 years, I lived and breathed celebrity photography — shooting stars on holiday, in restaurants, at home, and during those all-important newborn announcements. I covered all the foreign assignments, fashion features, food pages, and behind-the-scenes exclusives — from Wembley Arena to the set of Children in Need. My first photography assignment involved photographing Joan Collins, Roger Moore, Michael Caine and Shirley Bassey. 

I was also the official publicity photographer for Strictly Come Dancing — spending every Saturday at Television Centre shooting both the dress rehearsal and the live show. 

Some career highlights are: photographing   Madonna at Children in Need, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh at The New Forest Show and Gary Barlow in Soweto, Johannesburg for Comic Relief.

And then there were the weddings. I worked both solo and as part of a team, capturing unforgettable days like Wayne Rooney’s wedding in Portofino, Mel B’s wedding in Egypt, Amanda Holden’s at Babington House, Holly Willoughby’s in Arundel, and Tom and Giovanna Fletcher’s wedding in London, plus many more

.My camera has taken me to weddings and events across the globe — The Seychelles, Mauritius, the Maldives, Grenada, Barbados, Jamaica, St Kitts and Nevis, The Bahamas, Johannesburg, Cape Town, New York, LA, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore… capturing love, celebration, and unforgettable moments in every corner of the world.

In 2013, I started  Abi Chadwick Photography and focused on Weddings and Events. I am a supplier at Cliveden, Chewton Glen and Coworth Park. In 2023, I photographed Carol Kirkwood’s Wedding, which appeared in OK! Magazine.
