This behind-the-scenes shoot, captured at Battersea Arts Centre in London, offers a closer look at the artistry and precision behind Pinstripes and Peonies’ floral work. As a London wedding and event photographer, my aim was to document not just the final result, but the thoughtful process that brings each arrangement to life.

From the earliest stages of planning, every detail was carefully considered — from colour palettes and seasonal flower choices to the exact placement of every stem. Pinstripes and Peonies approach their work with a balance of creativity and technical precision, combining an eye for design with a deep understanding of structure, texture, and flow.

Throughout the shoot, it became clear that what appears effortless is anything but. Each arrangement is crafted with intention, where proportion, movement, and timing all play a vital role in the final composition.

This project highlights the often unseen side of floral design — the preparation, the expertise, and the quiet focus behind the scenes. Set in Canary Wharf, this behind-the-scenes series captures the pace and precision of a London fashion shoot. As a London photographer creating content, I focused on documenting the collaboration behind the final images.

Make-up artist Julie West brought a refined, detail-driven approach to each look, while Gabriele Malagoli photographed Suzie Turner’s designs with a strong sense of composition and movement.
