Celebrity Weddings
As a Luxury wedding photographer with a strong background in editorial photography, I’ve had the unique opportunity to photograph a number of celebrity weddings throughout my career, alongside many years of capturing deeply personal, story-driven celebrations for couples across the UK and beyond.
During my time working with OK! Magazine, many of my assignments involved documenting high-profile weddings. In fact, somewhat ironically, some of the very first weddings I ever photographed were celebrity weddings — an experience that very quickly shaped my calm, intuitive and highly professional approach under pressure. Working in that environment taught me how to anticipate moments before they happen, stay unobtrusive when it matters most, and still deliver strong, emotive storytelling imagery in fast-paced, ever-changing situations.
I’ve had the privilege of photographing weddings, including Wayne Rooney and Coleen Rooney in Portofino, Mel B in Egypt, and Amanda Holden at Babington House. Each of these weddings was completely different in scale, style, and energy, yet all required the same level of discretion, adaptability, and storytelling instinct.
One of the most memorable parts of my career has been the unexpected, “only-happens-in-weddings” moments that really stay with you. At the wedding of Holly Willoughby, I found myself having to approach Liam Gallagher and ask to take his photograph — which was, quite honestly, a slightly terrifying moment given the very public altercation he had with a photographer only days before. To my surprise, he was incredibly polite, charming, and happily posed for a series of portraits.
At another unforgettable wedding — Cheryl Cole and Ashley Cole’s celebration — I distinctly remember having to physically stop myself from just watching the scene unfold when John Legend performed All of Me, on a revolving stage. It was one of those surreal, cinematic moments where you’re aware you’re witnessing something extraordinary while still having to stay completely focused on capturing it.
There have also been moments of pure adrenaline behind the scenes, like at Mel B’s wedding in Egypt, where her dress needed urgent attention just minutes before she walked down the aisle. In a slightly unexpected twist, I ended up helping to sew it up in the final moments — a true example of how no two wedding days are ever the same, and how you often find yourself stepping into whatever role is needed to keep the day running smoothly.
Outside of OK!, I’ve also been booked for other celebrity weddings, most recently including Carol Kirkwood from the BBC Weather team, further reinforcing my experience working with well-known public figures while maintaining complete professionalism and discretion.
My career in editorial photography has also included assignments for publications such as The Evening Standard, BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and The Guardian. This editorial foundation has had a lasting influence on my wedding work, particularly in how I approach composition, light, storytelling, and anticipating natural, unposed moments.
Today, I bring all of that experience into every wedding I photograph. My approach blends editorial wedding photography with a relaxed, documentary style, allowing couples to feel completely present in their day while I quietly capture everything unfolding around them. I’m equally comfortable working on intimate gatherings or large-scale celebrations, always adapting to the atmosphere and creative direction of the day.
I’m also a strong believer in collaboration, and I love working alongside incredibly talented wedding suppliers — from makeup artists and dress designers to florists, planners and stylists — all coming together to create something cohesive and unforgettable. That collaborative energy is something I know well from my editorial background, where every shoot is built by a team of creatives working toward a shared vision.
At the heart of everything I do is storytelling. I’ve been fortunate to win an International Wedding Photography Award, which I see as a reflection of my ongoing commitment to capturing weddings in a way that feels both elegant and emotionally honest. I’m drawn to the in-between moments just as much as the big ones — the laughter, anticipation, quiet glances, and atmosphere that make each wedding unique.
