Windsor Wedding: GROOM GOALS

Capturing the Perfect Moments at a Windsor Wedding: Groom Goals

As a Windsor Wedding Photographer, I sometimes feel a bit guilty about the amount of attention I give the groom during their wedding preparations on the morning of their wedding day. There is just so much more to photograph in the bridal prep room. I always look forward to seeing the bride’s dress, her hair and makeup choices, and wondering if she’ll wear a veil or not. There’s something magical about watching the transformation from casual bridal prep to the stunning final look. The bridesmaids, with their dresses and gorgeous bouquets, also add to the charm, creating perfect moments that I love to capture.

Most of my focus is on the bride, especially during those informal bridal preparation shots. From the bridal party in their pyjamas and rollers to the moment they step into their flawless gowns and carry their bouquets, it's an incredible process. It’s all about documenting the excitement and joy as they get ready for one of the biggest days of their lives.

While I do love photographing the bride, it’s also great to see the groomsmen dressed to impress. I have to admit, though, that the bride tends to get a bit more of my attention—there’s just more happening and it all makes great photographs. However, I recently had the pleasure of photographing Alex and his groomsmen at a beautiful Windsor wedding at the De Vere Beaumont Estate in Berkshire, and it was a fantastic experience.

These lads were not only great company, but their excitement was contagious. With lots of laughter and playful antics, it was clear they were lifelong friends, some even from primary school. The black-tie attire was a perfect choice for the day—classic and sophisticated. Every one of them looked like a movie star.

I wanted to capture the nervous excitement as the wedding ceremony approached. With just 30 minutes to go, the tension was building, but in a fun, lighthearted way. So, I had the group walk across the beautiful lawn of De Vere Beaumont Estate, letting the stunning venue become part of the photography. As they strolled, they teased Alex and laughed together, and these moments created some truly memorable images. The warmth and friendship between them shone through in the photos, adding a personal touch to their Windsor Wedding Photography.
